Child Forensic Interviews - Dawson Place

If a forensic interview is requested by law enforcement for a child ages 3 - 17 who is a victim of abuse, you will be interviewed by a Child Interview Specialist.

Nooksack Youth and Family Services Department - Nooksack Family Services

Provides an array of advocacy and case management services to Nooksack children and families involving child welfare, domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. Programs include Indian Child Welfare Program and Independent Living, Extended Foster Care, Tl’ils Ta’á’altha Program, Men and Boys Outreach and Advocacy Program, Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Program, and Child Protection Team.

A wellness and strength based advocacy program for Nooksack community members who have suffered domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and/or elder abuse. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, or elder abuse contact the 24-hour phone line.

Provides direct representation to immigrant survivors of violence seeking immigration benefits. While this unit handles several hundred immigration cases per year, the demand for assistance continues to be greater than the available resources meaning there is a long waitlist for clients seeking help.

Confidentially ask for support online. The Ask an Advocate page is monitored Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm. You should receive a message back within 72-hours. If you need to speak with someone immediately, please call the helpline.

Bellingham Vet Center

Confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Services include counseling for needs such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). Referrals to other community and VA support services also provided.

A 24/7 confidential and anonymous culturally-appropriate domestic and sexual violence helpline for Native Americans. Advocates can provide peer support and advocacy, information and education about domestic violence and sexual violence, personalized safety planning, crisis intervention, referrals to Native-centered domestic violence and sexual violence service providers, and more.

Safe Housing Program - DVSAS

Provides safe, confidential shelter to individuals and families fleeing domestic violence. Clients have access to basic food, clothing, personal items, and bedding if needed. Advocates are available to conduct intakes and provide advocacy twenty-four hours a day. Shelter is available for all survivors. This program is accessible to persons with disabilities and accepts service animals. Other pets may be accepted on a case by case basis.
