Nurse-Family Partnership - Whatcom County Health and Community Services

A free, supportive program for women having their first baby. When you enroll in NFP, you are connected with your own personal nurse who visits with you during pregnancy and until your baby turns two years old. This program has been proven to benefit the health and well being of families. First time low-income moms in Whatcom County can enroll in the program prior to their 28th week of pregnancy.

Basics for Babies - Opportunity Council Community Resource Center

Provides one sleeve of diapers and one pack of wipes per visit to families in Whatcom County. To be eligible, a family must have children ages 0-5 yrs old, household income must be 60% AMI or less, and the family must not have other resources to cover the cost of items.

MotherToBaby - Organization of Teratology Information Specialists

Providing evidence-based information on the benefit or risk of medications and other exposures during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, including medications, vaccines, chemicals, herbal products, substances of abuse, maternal health conditions and much more. Pregnant individuals and parents of infants who have Apple Health/ Medicaid health insurance are eligible to receive: assistance applying for SNAP/ Basic Food benefits, Childcare Subsidy, and PFML benefits; nutritionist advice; help accessing medical and behavioral health care; and monthly gift cards for participating in Culturally Responsive Integrated & Strength-Based Parenting (CRISP) classes.
