A free, supportive program for women having their first baby. When you enroll in NFP, you are connected with your own personal nurse who visits with you during pregnancy and until your baby turns two years old. This program has been proven to benefit the health and well being of families. First time low-income moms in Whatcom County can enroll in the program prior to their 28th week of pregnancy.

As part of the larger PREPARES program, St. Joseph Catholic Church organizes a regular drop-in event to provide diapers, wipes, and other family supplies. All are welcome to receive support and attendees can sign up for more support through PREPARES state program.

Serves families with children from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or disabilities in order to maximize each child’s development.

Provides one sleeve of diapers and one pack of wipes per visit to families in Whatcom County. To be eligible, a family must have children ages 0-5 yrs old, household income must be 60% AMI or less, and the family must not have other resources to cover the cost of items.

Providing evidence-based information on the benefit or risk of medications and other exposures during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, including medications, vaccines, chemicals, herbal products, substances of abuse, maternal health conditions and much more. This no-cost information service is available to people who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding, their family members, health professionals, and the general public via chat, text, phone, and email in both English and Spanish.

Free cloth diaper distribution program available to qualifying families who complete the application online or in person. This program helps families who are experiencing diaper need to switch to reusable diapers, by providing an initial loaned supply of cloth diapers.

A program that helps kids from birth until their 6th birthday get dental care. Dentists who participate in ABCD are specially trained to work with young children.

A public health program designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child's quality of life. Under this program, no-cost comprehensive eye and vision assessments are available for infants 6-12 months old regardless of a family's income or access to insurance coverage.

Pregnant individuals and parents of infants who have Apple Health/ Medicaid health insurance are eligible to receive: assistance applying for SNAP/ Basic Food benefits, Childcare Subsidy, and PFML benefits; nutritionist advice; help accessing medical and behavioral health care; and monthly gift cards for participating in Culturally Responsive Integrated & Strength-Based Parenting (CRISP) classes.
