Washington residents who do not have prescription drug insurance coverage, or have limited coverage, can enroll in the ArrayRx Discount Card program to purchase their medications at a discounted price. The card will give you discounts on prescription drugs not covered by your insurance plan, can be used by Medicare beneficiaries who do not have Part D coverage, or provide prescription discounts for those on high deductible plans.

Free prescription discount card for all Whatcom County residents. Provides discounts on all FDA approved prescriptions not covered by insurance or other benefit plans.

Helps cover services from doctors and other health care providers, outpatient care, home health care, durable medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and other equipment), and many preventive services (screenings, shots or vaccines, and yearly “Wellness” visits). Assists Whatcom County cancer patients in paying for medical expenses. Specific focus is given for patients who are not eligible for public assistance or have limited resources. Contact CHF to apply.

Provides funds to families in need to help cover costs associated with medical bills, therapies and numerous other aspects of supporting a child or young adult on the autism spectrum. Applicants can request a yearly grant up to $1,000 to help cover the costs to get the care, support and items needed.

Free or low-cost health insurance. Coverage includes primary care, emergency visits, maternity services, pediatric care, dental services, vision care, prescription medications and more.

Web-based prescription drug company offering generic brand prescription medications at low cost.

A Medicare-approved plan from a private company that offers an alternative to Original Medicare for your health and drug coverage. These “bundled” plans include Part A, Part B, and usually Part D. Plans may have lower out-of-pocket costs than Original Medicare, and may offer some extra benefits that Original Medicare doesn’t cover, like vision, hearing, and dental services.

Financial assistance to individuals with chronic kidney disease.

Grants for children and young adults with medical problems or physical disabilities to meet needs that are not covered by insurance. Also provides education scholarships to young adults with medical and/or physical disabilities.

Provides access to life-changing orthodontic treatment for children from families that cannot afford the full cost of braces and children in foster care. To qualify, families must meet regional income eligibility requirements. Children must be 7-18 years of age, have “good” oral hygiene and no unfilled cavities, have a moderate to severe need for braces, and not be wearing braces currently. \nFoster parents or agencies that are applying for a foster child do not need to submit proof of income to qualify.

Helps cover the cost of prescription drugs. You can join a Medicare drug plan in addition to Original Medicare (Parts A and B), or you get it by joining a Medicare Advantage Plan with drug coverage (Part C). Plans that offer Medicare drug coverage are run by private insurance companies that follow rules set by Medicare.

A nationwide program that aims to provide orthodontic treatment to children between the ages of 8 and 18 who may not have the means to afford care. To qualify, families must meet financial guidelines. Children must not currently wear braces or a retainer, be ages 8 to 18 years old, have “good” dental hygiene practices, be enrolled in school with a C average or above GPA, and must have a social impediment or moderate/severe need for braces.

An online resource with information on programs that provide assistance to people who are unable to afford their medications and health care costs. All information is free, easy to access and updated regularly.
