Current Western Washington University students can receive comprehensive support for their essential needs including food, housing, student emergency funding, health and wellness, clothing, transportation, employment, child care, and more.

In an effort to ensure that all children have access to food during the weekend the Blaine Food Bank is proud to partner with Wild Bird Charity and the Blaine School District to provide the food for three meals a day, as well as snacks, each weekend for children in the Blaine community who face hunger. Pet food, including dog food and cat food, donated by the community for pet owners in need. Food can only be received once per month and is intended to be supplemental or for emergency.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, called Basic Food in Washington, helps people with low incomes make ends meet by providing monthly benefits to buy food.

Reservations required to select from four types of boxes: Basic, Latin American, Gluten Free, or Vegan. Anyone is welcome to use the Drive Thru, however, you cannot use both Bellingham Food Bank's Drive Thru and the Free Grocery Store in the same week.

A permanent, nationwide Summer EBT program to support children who lose access to free and reduced-price school meals during the summer months. Provides $120 in food benefits to each eligible child. For updates and application information, sign up for text-based alerts at textsunbucks.dshs.wa.gov.

Offers help with housewares, clothing, food, limited furniture, and basic toiletries to help offset day to day expenses.

Family support centers that link school families with local resources and human services addressing the needs of the whole child in order to promote student success. All families are welcome to visit the site nearest to them (Shuksan Middle School or Carl Cozier Elementary School).

Basic Needs provided free of charge to those in need in our community. Resources include clothing, household goods, toiletries, period supplies, cleaning supplies, diapers, emergency food, and more. Limited financial assistance available Mondays and Fridays.

Provides benefits to legal immigrants who are not eligible for the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), called Basic Food in Washington, solely because of immigration status. Households that include a person eligible for FAP receive the same amount of food benefits they would receive for this person if they were eligible for SNAP.
