Assistive technology lending library and demonstration center, located in Woodring College of Education (WCE) on the campus of Western Washington University. The E-ATRC houses hundreds of low to high tech support tools.
A screening to identify any factors that may interfere with a child’s learning, growth and development. The screening is also provided to help parents identify their child’s strengths and weaknesses and provide home suggestions and/or further evaluation if needed in any area of concern. Any child, birth to five, whose family or care givers would like more information about their child’s development can contact their local school district to receive a free Child Find Screening.

Provides dental care that is not otherwise available in the community for patients with developmental and acquired disabilities. Adults with DDA Medicaid benefits are usually eligible for DECOD services. Other individuals may be eligible if they meet state requirements.

A Medicare-approved plan from a private company that offers an alternative to Original Medicare for your health and drug coverage. These “bundled” plans include Part A, Part B, and usually Part D. The Housing Choice Voucher program (Section 8) is a rent subsidy program funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered by the Bellingham Housing Authority (BHA). This voucher based program is designed to assist lower income families, disabled individuals, and the elderly to find well-maintained housing in the private market in a location of their choosing, at a price they can afford.

Bellingham Public Library provides Outreach services to Bellingham residents who, because of age, illness, or long-term disability, are unable to visit the library in person. Individuals who are confined to their homes may arrange to have a family member, volunteer, or caregiver pick up and deliver pre-selected library materials to them.
