A monitored setting for the safe withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. The detoxification is provided in a 16-bed acute (medical) unit where intensive medical monitoring is required. Serves individuals who are intoxicated or in withdrawal from alcohol or other chemical substances, but are medically stable.

Provides confidential, comprehensive services for substance abuse and chemical dependency, as well as outpatient treatment.

10-bed treatment program for LGBTQ+ identifying people aimed at helping people who are in early recovery. Includes outpatient services and peer support in a sober environment. This program requires drug screening, behavior contracts and attendance of twelve step programs as well as other mandatory requirements.

Faith-based clean and sober housing for men.

22-bed treatment program for men, aimed at helping people who are in early recovery. Includes intensive outpatient services and peer support in a sober environment. This program requires drug screening, behavior contracts and attendance of twelve step programs as well as other mandatory requirements.

14-bed supportive sober housing program for men. Next-step or bridge housing between structured treatment and independent living, with peer support and accountability.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) offered on an outpatient basis for adults who have developed opioid use disorder. Can provide patients with either methadone or buprenorphine. Patients who receive medication-assisted treatment also participate in individual and group counseling sessions.

Individual, couples, and family counseling available. Individual counseling sessions are designed to address a client’s specific recovery and/or mental health needs. Sessions may focus on trauma, sadness, grief, stress, loneliness and other factors leading to a cycle of addiction. Each patient is encouraged to have some couples or family counseling as well. Family therapy can be done with or without the primary client present.

A comprehensive web resource for persons seeking treatment for mental and substance use disorders. Provides the ability to search for substance use and mental health facilities, health care centers, buprenorphine practitioners, and opioid treatment providers.

Whatcom County Recovery Court (formerly Drug Court) is to reduce crime and improve the quality of life and safety in our community by fostering long-term change in individuals living with a substance use disorder. Whatcom County Recovery Court provides intensive case management services to individuals living with a substance use disorder.

Faith-based relapse prevention program for homeless men with substance use and other self-destructive behaviors. In addition to shelter and relapse prevention, services include one-on-one case management, connections to resources, life skills classes, work therapy, behavioral health referrals, and more.
